This episode is a "tips and tricks" show that includes artistic techniques on a variety of subjects. Knowles starts with reflective textures in pencil, then moves on to rough, bumpy surfaces. Students learn how to draw a detailed water drop, complete with reflections and refractive properties. Knowles then enters the digital world by creating glowing and flaring effects in Photoshop. The final segment is "digital compositing:" using a green screen to blend real and virtual elements into a scene.
